Local Guide.

We came for the trails, but we stay for the town. Here is a heavily opinionated, slightly vauge guide to our favorite ways to spend a day in and around McCall

TRAILS

Right out the door.

Bear Basin Trails

Immediate access. Great warm-up ride or morning run.

A long climb (or drop off at Brundage with lift access). Fast, bermed, and incredibly fun downhill.

LAKE DAYS

When the trails get too hot.

Consistently awesome, calorie replenishing burritos. (Pro Tip: Call in order at Bear’s Lair, almost always ready by the time you arrive)

[Placeholder] Salmon River Brewery

Lively brewpub atmosphere. Satisfying burgers and fare. Exactly what you want after 20 miles.

[Placeholder] The Cutwater

Upscale dininig with waterfront views. Great for a cocktail overlooking the lake.

WINTER

When the snow falls.

Right outside. Perfect corduroy.

[Placeholder] Brundage Ski Resort

The best snow in Idaho.

16 miles of groomed classic, skate, and fat bike trails. Beautiful mountain backdrop.

WITH KIDS

Tire them out.

[Placeholder] Baby Bear Trail and Pump Track

Walkable from Bear’s Lair. Prepare for non-stop laps. Bring snacks.

[Placeholder] Ice Cream Alley

Generally a line during peak season/hours, but worth the wait. Grab extra napkins!

[Placeholder] Little Ski Hill

Right around the corner. Run by the local non-profit. T-bar lift, no crowds, great for kids and beginners.

RECOVER DAYS

Take it easy.

You don’t even have to leave the property
